At a Stand Still

"When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us".-Helen Keller
How many times do our lives remain at a stand still? Crying over spilt milk even when there is still plenty leftover to go around? Most of us will agree that this happens a lot.
God is always closing doors in our lives and openning new ones but how do we expect ourselves to move on if we continue hanging on to the closed door, even if we notice the new one? Isn't that doubting what God has put in front of us, not trusting Him to come through for us, or is it simply being unsure and frightened of what lies ahead of us?
Our past is of no consequense to God who is our creator so who are we to worry about it to the extent we are blind to what He puts in front of us?
I personally do tend to dwell on past mistakes and thus end up with so many ifs and buts instead of concentrating on the future. Mistakes do lead to doors closing certain chapters in our lives, good or bad, happy ones or sad ones but as God closes one He opens another so lets grab hold of the ones He opens with both hands, totally turning our backs on the ones He closes.
Brothers and sisters, the only positive thing about mistakes is we learn from them, there after let us not dwell on them as all they do is pull us down and prevent us from noticing what the Lord puts in front of us or the doors that He opens for us.

GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!!
