Day 2 (30 Day Faith Experiment)

One of my favourite pastors is Pastor Charles Stanely. Every once in a while i listen to or watch him on his ministries website and i also signed up to recieve newsletters by email. The email i recieved yesterday was entitled, suprisre, suprise, Giving Thanks in Everything which reiterates what i stated in my very first post on 20/11/08. As a believer, this is not a mere coincidence, its as though the almighty is reassuring me that "son, you're on the right track". I must confess though that i am still far from being the person God wants me to be but i am surely not the person i used to be, having said that i am confident that as long as i maintain my focus on God, i wil get there. I do have a lot of ups and downs like every christian but the most important thing is not to totally lose focus on our creator ( remember Peter walking on water, he began to sink the moment he took his focus of Jesus but immidiately stopped sinking when he returned his focus on Him) and to continue thanking for everything that he does for us not matter how little or simple it may seem or be as well as in good times and bad times. There are so many people out there who suffer way beyond what a lot of us can imagine and all they do is thank the Lord to be alive, thank the Lord for seeing another day and yet you find a lot of us whining over material things......that is something we ought to think about. For me, thats another reason why i am for the 30 Day Faith Experiment.
GOD BLESS YOU ALL.
AMEN!!!

".....The believer’s part is to trust God will bring good from trials and to discover His plan, which gives further reason for thanking Him. Understanding His intentions renews our strength for facing difficult trials. Expressing gratefulness changes our attitude about God, ourselves, and our situations. Most people allow hurt and stress to form a pessimistic mindset, which negatively impacts every facet of their life. But believers have God’s Spirit working within to provide courage and a flow of thanksgiving.
When we demonstrate thankfulness in harsh circumstances, other people pay attention. Our coworkers, family, and friends will want for themselves the peace and energy we derive from a grateful relationship with the Lord.So whatever you experience today, go ahead and defy logic—praise God....."
